About

I am an artist based in Hackney, although I have lived in many places before settling in East London. Born in Salford, but grew up in Bradford and Kendal before moving to Leeds to study. I completed a BTEC Foundation in Art & Design at Kendal College (2002), a Fine Art Certificate at Leeds University School of Fine Art and Cultural Studies (2004) and a BA in Interdisciplinary Art & Design at Leeds College of Art and Design (2007).

I have always been interested in the link between art and everyday life. Although my practice has been varied and encompassed drawing, painting, screen-printing, etching and public realm projects, the common thread through my work is a diaristic process, capturing daily life.

More recently, my interest in the landscape comes from years of walking and photographing the Lower Lea Valley, time often snatched in lunch breaks and after work.
